My Question or Issue

Spotify app w black background after install from Playstore will not open. It shows just the logo and never opens. Message "app keeps closing". Recently did two samsung android updates problem started after update.

Existing premium student account.

Are you using an unlocked (bootloader) or rooted or modified phone?

 

P.S. All Spotify apps and players have dark theme only 😄

We'd suggest you restart your device and then log out and log back in again. If the issue persists, you can give these steps a go and run a clean reinstall. That way you can make sure the app is up-to-date and the cache is not causing any issues.

 

If that doesn't help, you can send us a screenshot of the error message. We'll investigate this further.
