Playlist doesn't shuffle on phone

Hello,

I'm currently having a problem with my free spotify application. I'm using a samsung galaxy s6. When I listen to my playlist on my pc, it shuffles normally. On my phone however, it plays more or less in the order I put it in every time. I do not have premium and I am pressing shuffle play.

Any help is useful.

I have been having this problem with the Android app since November, and numerous other users are reporting the same issue. The page that @ZullyB linked to references an update from two years ago. Other moderators have directed me to that very same thread. The most recent posts on that thread (as well as many others on Community) show that the shuffle algorithm is still a problem. At least one moderator has assured me that Spotify developers are aware of the issue, but so far nothing seems to have been done about it.
