My Question or Issue

I have a 6-hour playlist that contains 3 operas, so naturally I don't listen to this on shuffle, but sometimes when I'm only 5 or 6 songs in, it will skip ahead ridiculously far. It's super annoying when I have my hands full, and I can't figure out why it happens. It happens only very occasionally too. Last time was last week while I had my hands covered in paint, so I couldn't even quickly go back to where I was supposed to be. It ruins the whole story.
Usually when it happens once it'll happen again if I continue to listen. I haven't had this issue with any other playlists (which are all between 3hours to 30 minutes)

Hi there @IsabellesWhiskey,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. We're sorry to see that you're experiencing this.

In this case we'd like to suggest that you start with performing a clean reinstall of the app as this will make sure there's no old cache files causing this.

On another note, does this occur on one specific device or multiple devices?

Also, does this happen with one specific big playlist or different big playlists?

We'll keep an eye out for your reply.

Take care!

Hi! Thanks for the reply!

Could you link me to a guide on how to do a clean re-instal and could you tell me if that would affect my playlists and settings in any way?

It only occurs on my phone. I haven't had the issue on my tablet (also Samsung) or desktop (Windows)

Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure if I replied to my own post or to you, so a quick tag just in case! @Jeremy

Hi again @IsabellesWhiskey,

Thank you for getting back in touch with and and for your confirmation.

You can check out the guide on how to perform a clean reinstall here.

If that doesn't do the trick, can you let us know if it's happening on one specific big playlist or multiple big playlists?

Keep us posted 🙂

Cheers!
