I've had this issue where my Spotify app seemingly breaks down entirely for a while now but it seems to be happening more frequently.

 

The most common issue I've had is where the song displayed on the music bar within the app doesn't correspond to the actual song that is playing and instead freezes on a song that I had listened to previously, I haven't experienced this issue whilst switching to another song within the same playlist as the one before so i believe it has something to do with changing playlists. This also prevents me from playing any other songs on the app.

 

Shortly after this issue occurs, the entire app seeems to give up and everything stops loading and I can't view anything within the app.

 

I've tried manually resetting the app and even my phone but neither methods changed anything. The only solution I found was to clear the data and cache from the app, but this only fixed the issue for around twenty minutes before the issue occured again. I've also realized that the issue has only ever occured at night time which is the reason I haven't bothered too much until now since I would normally wake up the next morning to find that the issue fixed itself, probably a coincidence but I thought I should note it anyway.

 

Anyone else have this issue?

Hey, thanks for reaching out.

I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstallation of the app. Just follow the steps here.

If you're still having trouble, could you let me know the exact version of Spotify and the exact version of the operating system you're running?
