Wrong song playing when i search for songs in my downloaded playlist

Hi everyone!

Been using spotify for years and never had any issues until now. However yesterday, when I searched a song on my spotify app on my android phone and selected a song, it started playing a song from the very start of my playlist. I.e. if i searched for a song on my playlist and selected the first song that came up, it would play the first some from the whole playlist. It works fine on my laptop, and if i add to queue and if i just search normally, but it is rather annoying. Any ideas what may be wrong? Is it the app, or my phone? I have tried restarting my phone, deleting and reinstalling the app, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Same here, problem started this afternoon. Even re-installing the app didn't help. Works fine on my iPad, but not on my Android phone. Glad to see I'm not the only one. Please help Spotify!

Seems to be due to an update in the way they sort songs. For me, I noticed because it used to, when set to sort by artist, sort the artists alphabetically, then the albums, and then the songs by the order they appear on the albums. However now, it alphabetically sorts by Artist, then song. Doesn't touch the albums at all.

Glad to see its not just me. Started yesterday for me. Deleted and reinstalled as well. Wish there was a way to revert back  to a previous version until it's sorted.

Ya I restarted my phone several times and I logged out and then logged back
in. It still doesn't work right. Hopefully they will fix it. Thought I was
the only one as well.

I just contacted the spotify support. They told me to remove my phone from my "Offline Devices" page on my account and then do a clean reinstall. I tried that but it didn't help, but if you guys want to try it, feel free to do so

Same issue I'm fed up of keep hearing the 1st track of the album. I can only queue songs can't play them filtered.  

I did try deleting and clearing cache it didn't help.
