Hey @lsfchs17144,

Thanks for posting in the Community.

As much as we'd like to have all the music in the world available on our platform, sometimes licensing issues out of our control get in the way.

Hope this clears things a bit.

Cheers!

I don't quite understand, Dian. Spotify has the album "You're My Everything", but there are about 9 songs on it that are 'inactive'? How can the album be licensed, but 9 of the songs on it aren't?

Hi @lsfchs17144!

The availability of content on Spotify may vary over time and between countries. This depends on permissions from rights holders.

Note that "temporarily unavailable" does not mean "permanently removed", as the content remains on the platform, but is inaccessible. When things between Spotify and the rights holders are sorted out, the same album (with the same URI) may become available again. Sometimes, however, the artist/label prefers to upload the content again under a new URI, so it's worth giving their artist page a follow so you're notified of any updates.

Hopefully it won't be too long before the album is made accessible again. In the meantime, you can import local files to your Spotify library.

The Community is always here if there's anything else we can assist with.

Take care!
