My Question or Issue

There is no delete menu on the Play Songs page on my phone.

I listen to the playlist in shuffle.
Then there are times when a song I don't want to hear is played.
Then I touch the three dots in the upper right to delete.
This opens the menu.
There should be a remove menu here, but my phone doesn't have a remove menu.

To solve this problem, I reinstalled the spotify app (8.7.44.968) and updated Android (Android 12), and I did 'factory initialization' of my smartphone.

But the problem was not solved.
I've also asked the Spotify staff, but they don't know what's causing this.

I tried logging in to my account with someone else's phone.
There is no remove menu even on that phone.
I don't know how many people get this error.
But this is a serious error for me.
What could be causing this problem?
Will changing my smartphone and signing up for a new account solve the problem?

Hey what's up? I hope all is well with you. to remove a track from the playlist the playlist must be yours, currently it is not possible to remove songs from third party playlists.

Thank you.

It's a story from the playlist I made.

This is a bug in the program.
Of course, I know that this works for most people.
But if it doesn't work for some people, it's a bug.

But the bigger problem is that I can never communicate with the developer.
It's sad to have to post a bug issue to the community.

If my smartphone is the cause, I am willing to buy a new smartphone.
I love Spotify that much.

I put a lot of albums in my playlist and shuffle them.
If there is a song I don't like, I remove it from the playback screen.
In Apple Music, this removal function works.
YouTube Music doesn't have this feature.
That's crazy.
Spotify says this feature works, but it doesn't work on my phone due to a program bug.
So I can't use Spotify anymore.

I will wait for the company's response.
If there is no response from the company, I have no choice but to go to Apple Music.

I found out that Spotify does not have a removal menu on the playback screen.

Then I have no reason to use Spotify.

Hey @user-removed,

Thanks for your replies in this thread 🙂

In this case, if want to remove the song that's currently playing from the Now playing view, you need to tap on the title of the playlists (which is in the top center of the screen). It'll open the playlist and locate the song that's currently playing. From there, you only need to select the 3 dots of the song you wish to remove (the one that's playing would be highlighted in green).
