And I still cant hear the spotify song but when i do itll be a second and itll literally ruin my audio for my pc like itll start chopping up sounds from youtube, discord and making them very weird this all happened because I updated and it tweaks out when ever i open spotify please help me.

I have the same exact problem with the spotify desktop app, when I open a game and a song is playing at the same time, the sound from the music cuts and every thing else (sound of the game) is so loud it almost broke my headset

Alright I’ll try that website then, because for me none of the solutions here worked for me and I also don’t get why my topic was moved as a reply into your topic here. Is this normal behaviour for Spotify Community?

This worked for me, ever since the newest update mine has had the same issue. I hope it gets resolved soon.

I have the same issue. Paying customer since forever.

Disabling "Enable audio enhancements" is not a fix. I should not have to be poking around in the windows audio options because of something you did.

Please test**bleep** before you release to your customers. Spotify is supposed to be good at playing music, it seems you are more interested in adding bloat these days than having basic functionality in place. Embarassing.

I'm having the same issue. When playing games, if I try to play music on Spotify, the game sound becomes LOUD and the music won't play.

App has been working fine for years on my desktop. now, upon every restart of the app it will not play music despite the progress bar moving and make other applications unbearably loud until the progress bar is paused or Spotify is closed, I've tried resetting app data, re-downloading, restarting my computer and disabling Hardware Acceleration for Spotify.

Hey guys, I found a fix to this issue, without having to go back to the older version. What you need to do is go to panel, hardware and sound, sound, then go on playback tab, right click the speaker user, then properties, then enhancements, then either disable all enhancements or try disabling each one by checking it and applying then play a song on spotify to verify if it's the one messing with your issue. In my case, virtual surround was the one messing with it so I checked it and applied and now it's working.

Same issue here...Will this be fixed in an update? It's driving me crazy I've had the issue for weeks...
