Spotify web player does not resume podcast episode after ads

My Question or Issue

Spotify on my desktop web player is  not resuming a podcast episode after is the play is interrupted by ads. It continues in the next episode.

For example while i play the latest episode "Waiting for Brexit" of The Daily after 20 or so seconds an ad is triggered and after the ads finishes playing the next episode is played.

The issue is sporadic as the ads are not always triggered but it has happened with  multiple podcasts.

That's odd.

Have you tried to use a different browser to see if that happens there too?

And have you tried to clear your browser cache/cookies to see if that helps?
