Can't log in on iphone using facebook

My Question or Issue

When I try to log in on my iphone using facebook, it tells me "Login failed. You can only use Spotify abroad for 14 days. Update your location at Spotify.com to continue using it".

I tried to update my location on the laptop: to US from Russia, then back to Russia, nothing changed in both cases. Checked my location on facebook, it says that I'm in Russia. My account on the laptop works just fine. So this appears only on my iphone for some reason. Please help, cause I'd like to use my account on the phone. Thank you!

Thanks for reaching out to us!

 

If your account works fine on one of your devices and you cannot log in and get an error message on the other, this means that you might have two accounts. One of those accounts is disabled by our system for being abroad more that 14 days. More info on how to change the country settings and re-enable the account - here.

 

Have a look at this article for some tips on how you can find out which account you're currently logged into on your PC and use the right username or email to log in on all of your devices.

Hi! Thank you for your answer, but the thing is, I use the same facebook account to log in on both devices! And on my laptop it works but on the phone it doesn't. And when I tried to change the country on my laptop several times, nothing changed. Also, what does it mean that I'm abroad? I am in Russia now and free spotify is supposed to work here since recently.

Thanks for getting back to us.

 

Can you check these steps and run a clean reinstall on your phone? If you've a VPN, we'd suggest to turn it off. Then you can try again logging in with your Facebook credentials on your phone. It's also a good idea to reset your password here so that you can try logging in with your email address and the new password.

 

Tip: If the issue persists, you may have another account with different country settings. That could explain why you see the error message only on the phone and not on the laptop.
