Discord isn't detecting Spotify

My Question or Issue

When I attempt to link my spotify and discord accounts, it says "Connected your Discord Account to Spotify." I have the "Display Spotify as your status" turned on as well. When I try to listen to Spotify with a friend, it says that no account is detected.

Hello @Fridbtw  and welcome to the community!

Please, first of all try to reinstall Discord and also Spotify. 

Then please follow these steps:

1. Open Discord settings through the cog in the bottom left of the application
2. Click User Settings > Connections and look for the Spotify logo
3. Click Login to Spotify and allow access for your account’s connection to Discord
4. Once connected, you'll see a confirmation in the browser and in the Connections tab of Discord Settings

Keep in mind that only Premium users can use the Listen Together feature.

you should start playing something in your Spotify and then the join arrow will turn green in discord.. took me forever to figure this out
