Hey @Sylvain_Gallant!

Welcome to teh Spotify Community!

Well that is strange. There could be a couple causes so letś dive into this:

First of you might just have beene listening to a lot more music online lately. Perhaps your Wifi was down or you forgot to switch for mobile data to Wifi. (That is assuming you were using a mobile phone.)

Perhaps you switched to a different quality setting. This can only be done when you are on Premium. While streaming Spotify has 2 settings, one for normal quality and one for high quality. High quality uses more data. To check whetehr you changed your setting:

On the computer:

  1. Open Spotify
  2. Click on your username in the top-right corner
  3. Go to settings
  4. Scroll down to 'Music Quality'
  5. If the Switch is green you are streaming in high quality, to lower your data usage, just click it.

On a mobile device:

  1. Open the Spotify app
  2. Tap on 'Your Library' (lower right corner)
  3. Tap on settings (the cogwheel in the top-right corner)
  4. Go to Music Quality
  5. Either select 'Automatic' or 'Normal' for a lower data usage.

I hope this clarifies stuff. If you have any questions just leave a reply. 😉 Have a wonderful wednesday!
