I can't change country!

Hello please help me.

My spotify account was made in the USA and now I currently live in Okinawa, Japan for two years due to USMC deployment. It says it can't log me in because I currently live in a different country and it doesn't match payment information even through the payment info is in the United States. 

I don't know what to do but I would love to use spotifyy again.

It still doesn't let me. Japan is not an option for the country settings for payment info. On the profile page, changing the country appears "USA" but the field is untargetable/unchangable.

My current source of internet is a wifi hotspot from AU services in Japan for more information.

Have you tried perhaps cancelling your current subscription, and setting it up again?

I tried the cancelling account and I followed the directions on the FAQ but there are missing items. There is no unsubscribe button or cancel subscription.

Under subscripition it says: Your account can no longer be used from abroad, since the maximum travel time is 14 days for a Spotify Free account.

There is no cancelling option anywhere under that tab. 

I already submitted two tickets for changing country and cancelling account. 

I do not want to purchase premium or unlimited. I just want to change the country so that I can still stream music from spotify.

I even tried changing the settings via facebook about the spotify app on facebook.

It return this message:

The app requested an invalid permission: whitelisted_offline_access

Alright so I clicked the Spotify App on Facebook and it says Spotify is not available in your country please submit you email to get notified when it launches!

So I can't do anything about this issue...

Hey! 🙂 

You are having issues as you are attempting to use a free account outside of its registered country for more than 14 days. Also, you won't be able to change your Spotify country to Japan since Spotify is not yet available there. 

If you wish to continue using Spotify whilst abroad, you will need to subscribe to premium or unlimited using your US payment details.
