I cant log in on mobile with my account

I cant log in on mobile with my account

I have a Motorola G8, and it was working fine, until a few days ago and since then it says that I'm offline. When I tried trying to uninstall and install again It says that I can't log in because of an error, and mind that my account is working fine everywhere else except my android.

I tried a lot of times to log into the app with google, and also did. Then it says approved, but when I open the app I have to log in again. And then it does the same thing from the beginning.

Thanks for reaching out and welcome aboard to the Community! Try clearing the cache and performing a clean reinstall instead of a regular one, that should help resolve the issue. Consider trying with different networks too to ensure it's not a network related issue.

When searching for a resolution to "can't log in due to "Offline" issue" before uninstalling & reinstalling the app, I found reports of this issue going back to 2017!  It's insane that this is still a problem after ~6 years! 

 

I had to reboot my phone (Samsung S20FE) while Spotify was in "Offline mode." After reboot, I was prompted to log into Spotify, which immediately failed, saying it was Offline. 

 

None of the prescribed workarounds worked, including clearing app cache or logging in w/o a password. When trying the latter, I received the email with the login link, but it still said it was offline and would not log in. It was definitely not a network issue, as the same issue occurred on Wi-Fi and mobile/cellular networks, and I obviously could connect to the internet to get email.

 

It sucks that I had to uninstall & reinstall the app. That in itself wasn't that big of a deal. But I had to re-download all offline music to my phone again. Since Spotify has no interest in fixing this issue, I guess I'll just have to remember to take the app out of Offline mode the next time I need to reboot my phone.
