Scannot redeem family invite code

Scannot redeem family invite code

I have gotten a code from my father but when trying to redeem I always get that something went wrong. Please help.

Hey there @Lucasgeens and welcome to the community!

 

That doesn't sound right, so let's try to troubleshoot this ๐Ÿ™‚ To get in a family plan, you must be a Free user or a Premium user that subscribed directly through Spotify and not a third-party, like iTunes or a mobile operator. You need to also reside in the same physical address as the plan owner.

 

It could also be because of a couple other things as well:

  • If you subscribed through any other company than Spotify, you will need to contact that company to cancel before signing up to Premium for Family. If your subscription is through iTunes, please see Apple's instructions for canceling.

 

  • If you're accepting a Premium for Family invite from the same device it was sent from, please make sure youโ€™re logged in to your account before clicking Accept Invite.

 

Also, keep in mind that Premium for Family is for six accounts in total, so if there are more it could explain why you get an error message.

 

If you've tried all that, you can also ask the administrator of your plan to change the way they invite you, for example, instead of invite you by email, to click INVITE MEMBER BY LINK. You can read this community article for further information.
