Spotify gift cards are a scam

I purchased 2 gift cards.  Neither worked, after spending 2+ hours with customer service, 1 was honored.  The other one had one letter obscured in the PIN because of faulty scratching system on the gift card itself.  Despite having 10 of the 11 digits of the PIN plus the bottom portion of the obscured number/letter, a photo of the card with the card number and activiation number, and providing the time and place of the purchase, Spotify has not honored the card.  Not only that, they will not honor the 3 months for 9.99 if it is paid with a gift card, clearly a case of misleading advertising.  Honestly, I"m one more email away from filing a small claims case just to get the money back for the cards and advertising that were not honored, despite being paid for.

I'd recommend reaching out to Support one more time via Twitter/Facebook or their chat/contact form. They'll definitely be able to take a closer look to see what's going on. 🙂

They are totally a scam! I can't use my gift cards because I have a duo plan which is total BS. Customer service was not helpful at all.
