Waiting for syncing

I've been connected to wifi majority of the time and it is a stable connection, but next to the dowload button is the caption "Waiting for a connection..." 

Someone please help!! I have tried restarting my laptop, the spotify app and shutdown my laptop for a day to see if that would help, but nothing..
