We have premium duo but can only listen one at a time

If I’m listening to it he can turn his on and then mine won’t play

Thanks for reaching out. It looks like both of you are using the same account. Duo lets you have Premium in two accounts at the same time so you can listen to music separately. One of you can create another account here. Then, I'd recommend checking out this Support article for the steps on how to invite this account to the Duo plan.
