Your country does not match the one set in your profile

Your country does not match the one set in your profile

Hello,

 

I receive the error message "Your country does not match the one set in your profile" at work, so I've done what is suggested in the FAQ (connect at home, which works), but this didn't fix my problem at work...

 

My current IP at work is in France, even though I'm in Switzerland...

 

What can I do? Should I create two accounts? One from home, one from the office? Is there any other possibilities? Is it possible to say that my account can connect in Switzerland and France?

Hi Skolovensdru, 

 

If you'd like to continue using Spotify from an IP address in France as well as one in Switzerland, you'll need to upgrade to either Unlimited or Premium. 

 

Free users can only use their account 'abroad' for 14 days. You can make this upgrade easily from your subscription page

I also have a problem with my country does not match my profile.

I toke a semester abroad in the US and signed up for Spotify while I was there. Now I'm back in Denmark for good and when I try to connect to Spotify I get the error the country does not match because my account information tell me that I "belong" in the US.

I'm connected to facebook through it and there I have changed my country back to Denmark. And when I try to edit my country when logged in to Spotify I need to upgrade for professional. But I will only like to use the free version of Spotify..
