hi ppl could sum1 pls help me ive bought myself a £10 voucher and decided to get 2 months of spotify unlimited  it states i can download with this supscription so ive gone ahead and done it, well i'm able to listen to music just like i could before on the free package but i can't download any songs it states i have to buy downloads but yet downloads come with my supscriton pls some tell me where i'm going wrong !!!

Spotify is for streaming purposes only. You can buy tracks if you want. But with Spotify you have a "License" to listen all tracks you want with Internet connection.

In Premium service you can listen music in all Spotify devices like some smartphones or iPad!

I love Spotify!!!

Hello,

There is some misunderstanding. A gift card can be used in 3 different ways. For instance, a €10 gift card can be used for:

1 month of Spotify Premium, or

2 months of Spotify Unlimited, or

10 downloads

When you redeemed your gift card at the Spotify website, you chose the option to get 2 months' Spotify Unlimited. In fact, there is a solution to that, you should be able to upgrade to Spotify Premium. That will half your time remaining, making it the equivalent of having redeemed the card as Spotify Premium.

Downloads don't come with any subscription. Subscriptions are about access to streaming. The Download Store is a separate part of Spotify, and is a convenience for customers who would also like to buy music files for permanent download.

Ah I see - it did not appear to give me the option - moving forward how do I change it to premium now ?

I wonder if you could help me ? Customer services say that really it is tough look that I was not able to install premium and got unlimited instead - and there is nothing I can do - so looks like I will have to stop with iTunes ?

Anything to help will be great - I do understand I will only get a month of premium for my 10 pounds

Head over to your subscription page. There should be an option to upgrade to Spotify Premium.

I have just been on that link - it asks for bank details - can I just change my 59 days of unlimited to 29 days of premium then continue with my bank direct debit or further gift cards

I think what Jude is trying to say is if you subscribe to Spotify premium now, by entering your bank account details, then you will be credited the correct number of premium days on your gift card before you are billed for the next month.
