regional problems with credit card

Hi, I would like to upgrade to Spotify premium.

I am currently living in Germany, although my credit card is Australian. Whenever i try and pay using the visa/mastercard option (i have mastercard) it does not accept my card. I will not be getting german accounts as I don't think I will be here for longer than 6 months, but due to the crazy region restrictions I cannot get the Australian version.

Is it impossible to use a card from a different country? My card does not charge for foreign currency conversion so I will not be buying premium with any of the other methods.

For security reasons your Spotify account and your payment details must be registered in the same country. 

If you are planning to return to Australia, then there is nothing to stop you subscribing to unlimited or premium in Australia, as it will give you unlimited access no matter where you are in the world. 

I would suggest that you get in touch with the customer services team using the online contact form and they will hopefully be able to assist you with this. 

Alternatively you could use an Australian proxy to visit your online profile and update your location to Australia (as it selects based on IP address) and then subscribe using your Australian payment details.
