My Question or Issue

Spotify will continue to play after Bluetooth is disconnected

It'll preview one song but play the others in the background

controls don't work

widget doesn't work

It'll say its trying to play when I'm using apps like instagrm or tiktok

Attempts to resolve issues:

restarted phone

uninstalled/reinstalled app

cleared cache

force stopped app

made sure it wasn't in offline mode

Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the Community.

Good job on checking first whether or not a reinstall solves the issue, in most such cases it does. However, could give it another go with these steps and run a clean reinstall? These ones are more thorough. That way you can make sure the cache is not causing this issue. Give your device a quick restart as well before you open the newly installed app.  

Its also a good idea to go ahead and secure your account using the instructions in this Support Page. Don't forget to change the password for any service associated with your account, such as your email address, Facebook, or Apple. We recommend that you also have a look at all third party apps that have access to your Spotify account and remove any you don't recognize. You can learn how to do this here.  For the other ones you should update the login info as well.
