Abort connection to chrome cast

It's using android API 26. Don't know OS version

My Question or Issue

When you select to cast to a device, sometimes other peoples chrome casts appear. If you misclick and choose a chrome cast you do not own you do not have the option to dismiss or abort the cast. Trying to go back just re-promts you for the PIN.

This is unbearable, I can't even switch apps when this happens.

Only solution that works is to enter a random pin and force close the app quickly.
