Ad overlay just blocking screen

My Question or Issue

When I'm listening to a podcast, after it's done, I hit the back button on my phone. It goes back to whatever screen I was on before, but there is an ad overlay with two options: "Ignore" and "Learn more." However, I cannot click on either option. If I try to click anywhere on the ad it just acts like I clicked on whatever was underneath that section, which I can't see because the ad takes up 95% of my screen. The only thing I can click on to make the ad go away is the currently playing section at the bottom. If I go to library, or use the down arrow in the top left it still has the ad overlay that I can't click on. So once I start listening to a podcast, the only way to stop listening is to close the app and restart it. I've reinstalled the app and the issue is still there.

I have an Honor 9 lite with the same problem, could it be because of the forced screen stretching due to the taller aspect ratio
