[Amazon Echo] Spotify doesn't reconnect after wifi outage

My Question or Issue

When my wifi goes down, as it does occasionally, the connection between Spotify and my Amazon Echo generation II gets broken. When the wifi comes back up, the Echo automatically reconnects to the wifi. Spotify then shows all other available wifi devices (Chromecast, etc.) but not my Echo. Other apps (calendar, etc.) on the phone automatically reconnect to the Echo when the wifi connection is reestablished.

It doesn't help to  disconnect and then reconnect the phone to the Echo, the Echo still doesn't appear among available devices in the Spotify app, although it does in all other Alexa-enabled apps. The only way I've found to reestablish the connection is to reinstall Spotify. Obviously this is a royal pain.
