Android 7.0 on Google Phone - Spotify stating it's "offline"

Solved!

Android 7.0 on Google Phone - Spotify stating it's "offline"

My Google phone (Nexus 6P) updated to Nougat this morning and on my way to work, Spotify wouldn't connect.  The error was ""You're offline.  Please connect to the internet and try again."  I have Spotify Premium, so that shouldn't be a problem.  When I got to work, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Spotify and logging into my account, but I'm still getting the message unless I'm on wifi.

The phone itself is subscribed to Google's Project Fi, which automatically connects to the strongest network (either Sprint or T-Mobile) and I don't pass through any dead zones for either network on my way to work.
