My Question or Issue
Hello, I cannot add local files (mp3s) to queue on Android. It works on PC, but not on Android. I can see and play the local files, but I cannot add them to queue. I have tried force stopping and clearing the cache as well as restarting my device

Hi there folks,
Thanks for the replies. The fix for this has already been deployed and the issue seems to be resolved for many users. If any of you still have this, please let us know and tell us what app version you're using.
Keep us posted.
Same problem for me. Seems to be an universal problem since I heard that a few people have this problem on Android. For me it started on the 5th February, there was an update and that ruined the app for me. I can play the songs from the storage directly but not through Spotify. Every time I connect to my WIFI and my PC is turned on the same songs are synced every single time even tho I already have them synced. It is so annoying...
I have only been using my PC lately, but I was playing music when hanging out with friends, so I only noticed this on the app on Monday. It's weird because I can play the songs through the Spotify app, but I can't add it to the queue. It must be because of the same update. Hopefully they patch it soon because I like to mess with my queue and DJ for myself when I'm listening on the go
Hey folks,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome.
@AMAiiZzing1 you should be able to play your Local files within the app with no issues. So in this case, we'd recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app by following the steps in this article. This process will replace damaged files from previous versions and ensure you're running the latest version of the app.
On another note, to continue investigating the missing feature to add tracks to the queue, include in your next response the Spotify version you're both currently running on your devices, along with its make, model and OS version in case you haven't sent it before.
We'll be on the lookout.
Yeah, I've just noticed this as well, even though the function was working just a couple of days ago. Really frustrating because all my local files that I've painstakingly archived on Spotify so I can still listen to them and now they're practically decoration since I can't actually play them while I'm listening to a playlist.
I spoke to the SpotifyCares account on Twitter about it and the response I got was "Got it. It sounds like you're seeing one of a few changes we've made recently. We always test improvements so you might see something your friends don't."
So it sounds like they're seeing it's a feature not a bug. But it's possibly the worst one they've implemented so far.
It took me years to eventually migrate to using Spotify because I had a massive collection of obscure/niche content on my iTunes that I listened to constantly but that Spotify simply doesn't have (including songs/b-sides I bought which just aren't included as releases on Spotify for whatever reason). So if I couldn't easily listen to those anymore - i.e. when I fancy it - then I would genuinely consider using another service (including going back to my old iPod and iTunes if I had to).

My Question or Issue
So I have lots of local files in lots of playlists, however, since the last update, I've been unable to add them to the listening queue. The only options available are to add or remove it from a playlist. I'm not sure if this was intentional, but I really hope it isn't. And no, clearing the cache didn't help.
Hello, @OscarDC
I checked my app and it was running Spotify version 8.9.14.543. I decided to do a clean install, so I forced stopped, cleared the cache and storage, and reinstalled. It updated to Spotify version 8.9.16.593. I'm still having the same issue with the local files. I can still play them via Spotify, but cannot add them to queue. I will relist my device and OS version below. I apologize for the late response. Thank you for your time.

Hello, @Yordan
Thanks for the update! I just checked and as of Spotify version 8.9.18.512 I'm still having this issue. Will check back periodically to see if y'all have any updates on this. Thanks again!
Work around I've been using is just swipe to the right directly on the song from your playlist. It's a shortcut to add it to the que and it still works.
