Android: Crackling/Popping while playing Music

Android: Crackling/Popping while playing Music

There are crackling/popping noices when liscening to music on my mobile Android device via the Spotify app.

Anything I could do about it?

I have already tried clearind data & cache and reinstalling the app. This problem also occurs when changing headphones. Nothing seemes to have helped yet.

Is it crackling for all the apps or only for your Spotify app

helped yet. its an issue of kenrel in some samsung devices, or just their arm cpu with processes the sound to understand the problem its inportant to explaint how audio is played on electronics more or less there is small electronic qwartz camerton thats every 1 ms signals digital signal processing unit that its time for new portion of buffer with waves, cpus soudl have stack of tasks and x64 procesors can do multiple tasts and once, i noticed something is wrong on my gf s6's, very familiar sound for every one recording music, few fixes, 1. disable anything in audio chain so sound can be processed as fast as it can be 2. yeah it has nothing to do with how fast your phone is 3. in programer options (debugging options ?) idk i have diffrent language in mine, try limit background processes to 4 5. u may change kenrel or update phone but changing to unofficial sofware causes losing warranty and u risk bricking phone, anyway, if u root device u may have acces to files that menage buffor size, balancing it and latancy is an art in itself and u find more looking up android audio driver latency or asio4all keywords maybe change quality to normal or launcher to more slim , less apps means less tast in stack so faster processing , on rooted phones i shoudl be possible to change cpu govenor (that thing that downclocks u) and maybe dedicate only one maxed out core for spotify 🙂 or u have broken motherboard sorry if it always does that no matter with app u use then u have broken ground connection in jack socket, its called brumming  i guess
