Increase the quality of the album cover you can see whitin the spotify's notification where you can also change the songs. At this moment it look pixelated which is not nice 😕

That's weird as you can see in the attachment, for me it's not pixelated at all.

Could you provide us with more information?
Spotify version, Android version. Does it happen with only that song or are all song covers pixeled?

OS: Android 4.4.4

Spotify app version: 3.0.0.1124

I've noticed that this only happens with spotify. With the Google Play Music app it's not pixelated at all. And yes, it happens with all songs.

That screenshot is from 2.8 but I'm in the beta program and stills the same.

No pixelation for me on either release candidate or the beta. Maybe try a complete clean install using the guide below?

It's still a bit lower quality compared to for example Now Playing widget image cover.

The little text on widget is more clear than in notification.

I have exactly the same issue.

Device: LG-D405n
OS: Android 5.1.1, CM 12.1
Spotify ver: 3.3.0.988

A fix would be nice. Google Play Music covers are not pixelated at all. 😐

Edit: The issue was present on stock LG rom (5.0.2) too.

Same problem here. On sony z3 compact 5.1.1 and asus memo me572c 5.0.1, both last Spotify version in playstore..
