[Android] What happened to Spotify? Switching devices is worse, can no longer sort playlists

[Android] What happened to Spotify? Switching devices is worse, can no longer sort playlists

With the last couple of updates, my Spotify experience has deteriorated drastically. I mainly use 2 Android devices, my mobile and an Android TVbox I use as a media center. I used to be able to switch almost seamlessly from one device to the other by simply pressing pause/play twice on the device I wanted to listen from. But lately both devices go to some sort of sleep mode (even though I disabled battery optimization on both) after just a short while (like 15mins) where I first have to wake them up by clicking the widget. And even then, the inactive device is more often then not unable to pick up the fact that the other device is playing a song. I find that annoying in itself, but it also compounds the effect of the already pretty crappy shuffle play feature, because in a lot of cases I have to reload the playlist (and repeat a lot of songs I just listened to).

Then there's this ridiculous "Favourite Songs" list I don't want but can't delete (which contains basically every song in my Library, so "smart"), and I am no longer able to sort the list of playlists in alphabetical order (or any order for that matter, it's completely unclear to me what the logic in the sorting order is).
Also, recently Spotify just stops playing mid song a couple of times a day, with no clear reason or trigger.
What is the reasoning behind moving the "search in playlist" feature from an easy accessible swipe down (top of the playlist) to inside the playlist context menu somewhere near the bottom? This is one of the features I use a lot on the go, I loved that it was always just a swipe away.
It's quite a long list with the common theme being "if it ain't broken, don't try to fix it". I love Spotify, but this makes me want to switch back to Winamp, where I had full control over the experience and not have the "recommended" experience imposed on me.
