About three or four times a song I hear some kind of audio glitch / tick. These are random, when I go back to the position in the track where I first heard the glitch, I don't hear it again on that position. So it occurs at random positions.
I don't have this issue with other music players. It occurs on streaming and offline music. Already reinstalled the app and removed all settings. Doesn't solve the issue.
This is happening since last week. I use Spotify Premium on a Nexus 4 with the latest Android version.
Hello @svn! Welcome to the community!
Does it happen with all songs/albums? or just some?
Hope this helped 🙂

Nope does not occur on others apps, notifications etc.
Is it a volume glitch? I've been getting sudden (and random) volume spikes during playback of any album or playlist.

I read on another forum I should disable the Spotify EQ and enable the Play Music EQ. Somehow this should affect the way Android processes the Spotify OGG Vorbis files. Surprisingly I had no more gliches or stutter during listening to Spotify.
At the Spotify settings.
