Audio pauses after a few seconds after I increased the audio quality.

I increased the audio quality, but the audio would pause every few seconds of play. I reverted the changes to normal audio quality, and even low quality, but the issue still remains.

If the issue only occurred on high quality, it could be caused by the internet connection, but you said that this now happens on any audio quality, right? Nonetheless, to rule out a possible network issue, consider testing this on various Wi-Fi networks and on mobile data and let us know how it behaves. A clean reinstall is likewise worth trying as its known to resolve a multitude of issues and this very well could be one of them.
