My Question or Issue

Why is the Spotify integration with BMW iDrive so unreliable and broken and does not work 90% of the time.

 

Is this feature supposed to be working or is a known issue. 

 

Can someone raise a ticket informing the dev team that it's broken.

 

How do I force the app to switch into car mode as it seems to never work and just thinks that it's connecting to a Bluetooth speaker.

 

It's really annoying having to mess around for 10 mins each time you get in the car force stopping the app switching off Bluetooth, r moving phone from the car to try and get it working.

 

Could a setting be added in the menu to put the app in car mode manually as the auto detect never works.

For the Android Spotify BMW Integration, the BMW Connected App is essential. Try to start the BMW Connected App and update it. This could probably solve your issue.

I've same problem even with bmw connected app installed and spotify visible inside app.

Could you tell us a bit more about your issue? Do you have the Spotify app installed on your phone as well?

 

You need to be logged in the app on your phone before the onboard system can detect Spotify and connect to it.
