Bluetooth bass is distorted only in the car bluetooth.

About 2 weeks ago, I updated my Spotify Premium app, and ever since then, the bass in my car when I connect via bluetooth is either very monotonous, or not even there at times. I'm almost sure its not my car, because when I play music through the radio, or even through soundcloud on bluetooth through my phone, the bass sounds as it should. I'm not sure why this is happening but it is getting very frustrating. I have tried reinstalling the app, but that did not work at all. Any help or suggestions?

To start, can you let us know what device, operating system, and version of Spotify you're using?

Does your phone have an equalizer? If so, let's try disabling it by opening the equalizer within Spotify's settings. Let's make sure everything is turned off there.

Let us know if this does the trick.
