My Question or Issue

I have 2 separate bugs to report.

The first is with Spotify for Chromecast... it completely stops and gets stuck after EVERY SINGLE SONG OR AD. It just sits there doing nothing until I intervene; no matter how long it takes ( I've waited for up to 15 minutes to see if it would move on to the next song on it's own). After songs is not so bad because you can use the forward button to jump to the next song. But after an ad, you're stuck. The only option is to close the app completely and restart.

The other issue is with Spotify for Android... whenever I open the app it immediately locks my tablet. I input my password to unlock the tablet and since Spotify is still open, it immediately locks the tablet again. Once this starts the only way out is to reboot the tablet. As of now Spotify is unusable on my Android tablet as I cannot even start any music or do anything else before it locks the tablet.

I have done complete clean uninstalls/reinstalls of the app on both devices with no effect; the bugs are still there.

Hey there @RolandSpencer

Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community.

Could you let us know if the issues you described have always happened on your devices or if they started happening after a specific event such as an update?

Regarding the first issue, we suggest that you plug out your Android TV > restart your router > plug the Android TV back in.  If this doesn't do the trick, would you mind trying again with a different internet connection to see if that makes the difference?

As of the issue with your tablet, would you mind checking if its OS has any pending updates? Also, you mentioned that you already tried performing a clean reinstall of the app on it, but could you check if you've followed these specific steps to do so?

We'll be waiting for your reply.
