Buttons 'forward, pause and back' disappear in background.

My Question or Issue

Once spotify is playing in my background, it stops showing the buttons 'back, pause and forward', I tried to install the latest version to fix it and it didn't work.

No need. Simply open Spotify, play something, pause and close the app

That is the point, there is no pause button. It has disappeared. There is no way to stop Spotify playing unless I uninstall it.

EXACTLY! Hard to pause when the buttons are gone. 

I've got it happening right now. However, stopping and restarting the app brought the buttons back. Not always the case though - often have to reinstall

For the record - successfully "solving" the problem by rebooting the app doesn't mean it isn't a bug. Kind of important, the old play button

Same problem.  Spotify is unusable.  Music play can't be controlled after it's started, there is no button bar.

Judging from the video @TOverturf posted, what you're describing seems to be related to this ongoing issue about the Now Playing bar missing on Android. A fix should be on the way in an upcoming update, so stay tuned and make sure to keep the app up to date.

How long do we need to wait? Also my app is now adding in random German podcasts.....it added 50 to one one of my pkaylists. I deleted them all, started a song and it flipped back to the German podcast!!!!!!!
