Buzzing noise since the installation of Spotify on OnePlus One

I installed Spotify yesterday, because it comes free with my Fido plan, and I'm loving it. I have one problem. I get these random buzzing noises, and not just on Spotify, but everywhere, including YouTube videos, when I'm using speakers and headphones. It's very annoying.

I'm on 17L update for my phone (Android 5.0.2)
I am using the AK Kernel with real_pac's profile.

It sounds like this, but only lasts half a second, then goes away. Anybody else have this issue?

I've tried the turning the offload setting to false in my build.prop
I've tried turning off audiofx
I've tried swapping off of NuPlayer
I've tried switching to another kernel (tried Franco's)
I've tried reinstalling the app

I've tried not downloading 'extreme' quality music.

Uninstalling Spotify and rebooting solves the issue, Google Play Music and YouTube can play just fine once Spotify is uninstalled.
