Can't get shuffle button to play songs in order

My Question or Issue

I'm using a Xiamoi Redmi Note 9 Phone on Android 11 all latest updates for everything including Spotify & I'm a free user.

My Question

Because my Spotify app will only play things randomly I've been trying to make it play things in order by tapping the very small shuffle button sitting on top of bottom right hand corner of play button on playlist screen, as I'm a free user I have to go there to do it. But no matter how often I've tried to tap that shuffle button just in playlist screen if my Spotify apo all with katest updates I can't get songs or albums to play in order whatever I do. I've tried everything. Deleted cache, then deleted all data, logged out then back in. But simehow after deleting all data Spotify still remembers what I've searched for before and I've tried a totally clean reinstall after deleting Spotify. But nothing is working. Whatever I do I just can't get that shuffle button to work and my Spotify app will only play songs or albums randomly.

Thanks for the post.

You can only play playlists on Shuffle with a free account. There are some special Spotify or Artist curated playlists which will allow you to play the songs in order, on those the Shuffle play button will be replaced with a normal play button.
