Can't play liked songs without shuffle

My Question or Issue

I got Spotify premium for two reasons. One was because I hate ads, and the other was so I could play my liked songs in the order that I want. I can't do the second at all. Whenever I click a song to play, it just won't. It stops anything else I'm listening to like it's about to play, then just does nothing. I have over 20,000 songs in my liked songs, so it's very frustrating to scroll through that for 5 minutes or more only to find that the song I want won't even play. It will play in shuffle mode, but takes a very long time to load.

I've tried restarting the app, restarting my phone, logging out and back in, and reinstalling the app. I've tried clicking the song and then waiting for over 5 minutes in hopes it would eventually load. Nothing has helped. I suspect this is because the app can't handle the size of the playlist, but it really makes me wonder why I'm even paying money for an app that can't do 50% of what I'm paying for. I'm not going through over 20,000 songs to separate them into playlists so the app I paid for can play them, either. If that's your solution, maybe start limiting the size of playlists again because it's not an acceptable one.

I finally got it to play what I wanted by waiting about 10 minutes for it to load.

I'm afraid that your issues are coming from the fact that you have such a big music library, especially the 20,000+ Liked songs. This can cause serious loading issues on most devices. This is happening because the app tries to sync your library, including playlists, podcasts, followers etc. in real time. 

The best way around this is to split your Liked Songs into smaller playlists, even if it does seem like a lot of work. Note that this might not solve your long loading time issue though, as the app becomes slower after you hit more than 10,000 items in total.

It's like you didn't actually read all of my post. Re-read the last sentence. I'm not splitting my playlist up like that. I shouldn't have to, and that isn't an acceptable solution. Why does Spotify even allow large playlists if they just don't work? Did they remove the limit on playlists a few years ago just for fun? Why am I paying money for an app that doesn't function as intended? This has been a known issue for a long time, and the development team hasn't done anything about it. What is passing my feedback to them supposed to accomplish?
