Cannot play local files on my phone

My Question or Issue

So I can listen local files just fine on my PC, but my phone just will not under any circumstance play local file on my phone. I used to be able to do this no problem and like a year ago it just randomly wouldnt work. Spotify support tried helping for like a week then just never messaged back so, any help?

Before you ask, i have tried the following, probably about 5 times now legit
-clean reinstall of the app and deleting cache and data
-done what the spotify support article told me to do, which was absolutly nothing
