My Question or Issue

I was making a christmas playlist & I listened to one of the songs in this album(check the image attached) back in December and now for some reason this album keeps showing on my spotify android app every time I open it..

I remember adding 1 or 2 of the songs from the album to my new christmas playlist but since I didn't have time to finish adding all songs I abandoned the idea & deleted the playlist I created altogether. But this album continues to show up on my home screen. It doesn't show up on the desktop app or the spotify web player when I open in chrome...

I don't understand how to get rid of it.. The album doesn't show up in any of my playlists (I have only 1 playlist apart from the christmas one I already deleted long ago) or in my liked songs/albums

I have cleared app cache both from the spotify in-app settings as well as my android phone settings. I even logged off and uninstalled/installed the app and checked but it's still there...

Can someone help? Am I doing something wrong?

Is it related to Recently played? I tried searching around on how to clear Recently played music on Android but mostly all the solutions didn't work or were outdated..

Hi @Eve_93,

Thanks for posting about this here in the Community!

Currently, it's not possible to remove items listed in your Recently Played on the mobile app.

However, if this is something you'd like to see in the app, we'd recommend heading over to this Idea to add your support there.

Hope this helps clarify things! Don't hesitate to give us a shout if there's anything else we can help with.

Cheers.

Hi, this album does not appear in the Recently played list. I haven't listened to that album or any songs of that album in more than 3 months. Check out the image I attached to this post. The recently played shows in the topmost row in which you can scroll sideways to see the played albums and songs.. But this album is permanently displayed at the top just below the Good Evening title.

I appreciate your response but it's not the answer I was looking for. 🙂

Hi @Eve_93

Thanks for getting back to us.

It's currently not possible to customize your Home screen. However, other users also think this would be a good idea.

We'd recommend adding your +VOTE to this thread if this is something you'd like to see in the future. You can also Subscribe to it by clicking the three-dot menu next to the title and we’ll keep you updated with any relevant updates there.

If anything else comes up, we're always a message away.

Have a good one 🙂

You guys aren't getting it.

I DON'T want to customize anything. I just want to get rid of that Feliz Navidad album that's shown at the top. Why is it showing there in the first place when I haven't even heard it in months?? What do I need to do to an album to make it appear there? Maybe I can retrace my steps? There's no option to remove it. It's only showing up on the android app.

Please someone tell me what to do!!

Hey @Eve_93

Thanks for your reply.

We understand where you're coming from. Keep in mind that there's not an option that allows you to remove or edit this. For now, we'd suggest listening to your favorite music every day so that it populates with more accurate suggestions.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us, as it helps inform our decisions going forward.

Don't hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.
