Cant connect my S4 with Yamaha RX-V675

Cant connect my S4 with Yamaha RX-V675

Hi im having a problem with my new phone that comes with Spotify Premium, it works fine on the phone but cannot connect it to my Yamaha Receiver, The reciever has the latest Firmware update and i can stream music from The S4 to reciever using airplay.

Why wont the spotify connect button work!

 

Very annoying have spent the last few days trying to fix this..

 

I Have also read through other similar threads but none really give a solution

 

For info

I have Spotify Premium

Yamaha RX-V675 with firmware 1.46

Receiver is connected to home network via ethernet cable from the modem/Router

Connect button is visible in bottom right corner of phone, but no devices listed.

Airplay works from this device to Receiver

It's worth double checking uPnP is enabled on your internet router settings.

Am just working out how to alter settings on the Router , havnt really played around with that before so let you know how it goes.

Yup its enabled.

 

Was just reading another thread about bridging the modem? ndont really know what that means of if it would be necessary?

I was hoping for an easy solution as i thought it sould just be plug and play if i have the right apps.

How is your receiver connected? It need to be on the same subnet as your mobile so if your receiver is cabled direst to the modem and not your wireless router (assuming you have both) connect won't work.

My modem is an all in one thing, It is a modem/ router and broadcasts the wifi signal. I have a cable running from it directly to the Reciever and my phone is hook up to the wifi from the same device, Do both the phone and  675 are on the same network using the same device for internet access

There have been a few cases of accounts that Connect hasn't been enabled on due to some technical glitch. It might be worth getting in touch with the Spotifuy support team directly using the online contact form and ask them to double check it for you. 

If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.
