Connect only works after reinstall

Connect only works after reinstall

When i try to use Spotify connect at home, the app connects to the device, but the connect icon in the app keeps flashing and ultimately fails.

I have tried multiple devices with the same issue.

If i reinstall the app on my phone it works the first time but then fails on any later attempts to connect.

I have tried simply clearing the app cache on my phone to no avail.
Also tried restarting all involved devices with no luck.


When i connect i can hear the speaker playing a sound to confirm an incoming connection, but the phone never fully established the connection.

Both my phone and the speaker are on the same WiFi and physical access point (Ubiquiti U6-pro)

Other apps can cast sound to the speaker without issue.

Thanks for reaching out. Could you please provide us the following:

  • The exact makes, models and OS/Firmware versions of all your affected devices
  • The exact Spotify Versions you use.
  • When did this start happening?
  • Is this on all devices or only on specific one(s)?
  • Screenshots or a video of the behaviour

With this information, we’d be happy to investigate.
