Fix remote pause/restart of android playback

Fix remote pause/restart of android playback

I would like to connect my android phone to a stereo in another room, and be able to control its playback from a laptop (Windows) on which I am working.  It almost works.  I can choose new songs and skip forward/back, but if I pause the playback it switches the device to may laptop and shows the phone as "unavailable for playback".

Hi @wheezilspotify! I've moved your post to the Help - Android board, as this feature is already implemented (I just tested it on the latest update and you can fully control Android Connect from the Desktop app). It sounds like you're experiencing a bug: others in this board will be able to assist you in solving this problem. I'd begin by following these steps from the Support website.

I have a similar bug, my windows app cant see my android 7 phone... but, it does work from the web app, I mean, windows app says phone is unavailable, but open detect it just fine and I can control playback in my phone from open.spotify....
