Freezes after clicking log in since latest update, Droid Razr Maxx (not HD)

Spotify recently updated and now when i open the app it gives me the option to log in or create an account. i click log in and the UI slides over to the log in prompts... and then the app stops responding to input completely. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I've cleared the cache and app data. It still gives me this error. It all started after the most recent update.

Your account looks okay at our end, so this is most likely device related. 

Can you try force closing all other apps before opening Spotify?

Also, make sure any task-killers you have installed are set to ignore Spotify.

I'd also recommend restarting your device after another reinstall, following the clean reinstallation steps.
