Galaxy S3 wont list under devices on network but iphone will

Hi All, Ive been searching on this issue for a few days now and I cant figure it out. I'm running spotify on a galaxy s3 and a iphone 4(work phone). Both phones are connected to my home wireless network. The S3 will not connect and show up under the devices when the app is opened on the phone but the iphone will, this tells me it is not a home network issue. right? Also troubling is that the S3 will show up on the devices on the desktop program if the 2G/3G syncing is turned on for the phone app. This allows the music to download but clearly uses my phone data plan because I can watch my data usage counter start to skyrocket as a download with the 2g/3g syncing on. I have unistalled the app several times on the phone, taken battery out, restarted both devices, restarted network routers, just about everything I can think of. The S3 used to connect to my home network with out any issues. All devices are up to date with all program updates. Help please! thanks
