Handling of off-line music?

Handling of off-line music?

Let me start by saying that questions like this would all go away if Spotify had some decent documentation.

I downloaded the new app, and I'm very confused about how it handles off-line music. I put all the music I like to listen to regularly on my Micro SD cards. I use Motorola's Motocast USB program to do this quickly and easily to ensure it works well with Motoblur and all the other media apps I use. Every other play quickly finds and plays them with no issues. Spotify might do this, as well, but I can't really tell if it is, or if it's just streaming the music (and in the process eating up my data plan) so I'm not using the new version untill I figure this out (it used to be so easy, becacuse it had the "offline tracks" list, and more importantly, the option to tell it to only stream music on wifi).

  1. If I select a playlist comprised entirely of songs on my device/SD card (but not downloaded through the Spotify app), will the app recognize and play them, or just stream them?
  2. If I add a playlist to my download list, and the songs are already there, will the app download a duplicate copy, or just recognize the songs are already there and consider it downloaded (thus playable in offline mode; which should, in theory make sure that it's not streaming when I'm not on wifi).

Additionally, is it me, or is there no way to sort my music by artist/album etc. like there is in every other music app I've ever seen?

And what happened to landscape mode? I listen to my music mainly while I'm driving and the phone is in my dock.

I gotta say, the new version is a major dissapointment.
