My Question or Issue

Hello, this issue is not only happening on Android but also on anything connected to my home network. On the Spotify app, I can't search any song because nothing loads up. When I use my browser, I'm getting this message :

Error: Forbidden
Your client does not have permission to get URL / from this server

I'm not using any VPNs and when I check my IP location, it correctly shows Canada.

As soon as I use mobile data, everything work as expected.

Thank you for your help!

Hey, welcome to the Spotify Community!

It sounds like the issue may be related to your home network. Here are some recommendations to try to resolve it:

1. Restart your router and modem

Turn them off for about 30 seconds and then turn them back on to see if that fixes the issue.

2. Check your firewall and router settings

Some settings may be blocking access to Spotify. If possible, try accessing your router settings and see if there are any firewall restrictions or website blocks.

3. Test another Wi-Fi network

Connect to a different Wi-Fi network to see if the issue persists. If it works on another network, it may be a setting from your ISP.

4. Contact your ISP

There may be an unexpected block or a problem with your ISP's DNS. Ask if there are any restrictions on accessing Spotify.

If none of these work, let me know so we can try other alternatives! 🎶

If you need any help, let me know! 😊

Hey @emarleau

It seems your home network uses a firewall that prevents Spotify from connecting to its servers. The fact that mobile data makes it work may confirm this.

Check your router, to see if any setting is blocking your devices from connecting to certain servers, and add an exception if needed.

Hope it helps. 🙂
