How do I sync my offline playlists to my sd card?

I bought a 16 gb sd card to store my music on bc it takes up all the space on my phone, but I'm not able transfer the Spotify app to my sd card but I read that you can still have your playlists stored on there. How do I get my offline music onto the sd card? It won't even let me re sync my offline playlists bc it says that it takes up too much room on my phone. I've tried everything, I've signed out, deleted my cache and data, uninstalled Spotify but nothing has worked.

When the cache gets created, it should use whichever storage location has more space (internet or external). Does external definitely have more free space?
