How to disable Spotify Connect

So how can i disable this function? I dont wont my mobile phone to be connected permantly to my PC.

Hi. If you are logged in on both devices then connect will.. Connect. One can act as a controller for the other. There is no way to disable this behaviour unless you put your phone into offline mode

Hey,

Just to make it clear, this is a small explanation of how Spotify Connect works:

As soon as you open Spotify your device will connect with the Spotify servers. The other device is already connected to the Spotify servers and spotify recognizes that. After that, spotify sync the data of device 1 with their servers and send it to device 2 and reversed.

Spotify does not work with a offline pairing system. It does even work over the mobile network while device 1 is at a whole different place. As soon as you disable wifi it stops with spotify connect.

Thanks for the answers.

I know that Spotify syncs the data (playlists, etc.) on all devices, that totally fine. But in my opinion its a whole different story if I get a forced spotify screen on my phone when I dont want to, its pretty annoying. I know that I can disable Wifi on my phone, but this isnt really a good option for me.

I get that there is no solution yet, I just can suggest that it would be great to have a disable option for this. It's for sure no big deal to  implement such an option and I also don't get why there shouldnt be one. I dont know if someone cares about what is suggested here, but maybe sonmeone read this 🙂
